Come walking with us and keep fit all year round !

This website has been created for the benefit of both existing and prospective members.

New members are always made very welcome and we hope that by exploring this site you will be tempted to join us. Please click on the drop down tab, labelled ‘Thinking of joining?’ at the top of the page, for more detailed information.

We are a dynamic group based, as our name suggests, in Mid Staffordshire. We organise regular half and full day walks of various lengths, usually within a fifty mile radius of Stafford, although we do stray further afield on occasions.

Details of all our walks, including a map of each area can be accessed by clicking on the walk in the 'Future Walks', listed at the top of this page.

We publish a planned Walks Programme and a Newsletter every 4 months.  Subsequent amendments are reported in the 'News' section at the top of this page.

News, amendments  and reminders:-

As you will see from the 'Future Walks' box, on theleft hand side of this page, we have an extensive walk programme to offer to existing and potential members.

Carole Pattison, who has recently taken on the role of organising Short and Medium length walks, has provided an excellent mix of walks thanks to the support given to her by many Walk Leaders.

She has initially taken on the role on a short term basis ,with a view to making it a more permanent position, subject to the support given to her by the walk leaders, who have done her proud and by the membership who can support her by joining as many of the walks as they are able to.

Carole can be contacted on 01785 602 304 or ewancarole1@icloud.com

Change to the walk programme published in the Newsletter

The walk, 'Bottom of the Wrekin', which takes place on Wednesday 15th March, has been incorrectly identified as an 'Easy ' walk. It is actually a 'Moderate' walk. Please contact the leader, Nicky, if you have any queries.

The walk for Sunday 30th May, due to start Near Green Farm, Broughton has a starting point of OS map Reference SJ764 331, not as published.

Walk leaders log sheets are available by clicking here: print a copy and use one for each walk to be led.
